Admission - Master Studies

Admission procedure

For Czech study programs. For studying in English click below.

Applicants for master (NMgr.) studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (FEL UWB) are admitted without an entrance examination after assessing the results of their previous university studies and any other activities until the expected number of students is fulfilled.

Conditions for admission

  • full completion of university studies in any type of study programme,
  • attach the required annexes,
  • payment of the administrative fee for the admission procedure,
  • compliance with the admission criteria,
  • successful completion of the admission interview.

Application for study

  • electronically at eprihlaska.zcu.cz,
  • fill in required data,
  • enclose the following annexes (in PDF format - rules):
    • list of completed courses with the grades from previous higher education, confirmed by the relevant university,
    • university diploma or other proof of completed higher education; in the case of higher education undertaken abroad, the decision on recognition of foreign education. The applicant may also apply for an assessment of foreign education for the purposes of the admission procedure,
  • a medical certificate is not requested,
  • the applicant has the right to state in the application form that he/she is a person with specific educational needs.

Rules for attachments to master study at FEE

  • Scan the originals of the required documents individually to PDF and upload them when submitting the e-application in section Appendices.
  • Attachments are accepted in Czech or English.
  • If you do not yet have attachments available at the time of application, you can upload them later.
  • Choose appropriate file names to make attachments easy to identify.
  • Upload attachments one by one by dragging them to the marked place or using the Attach file button.
  • Uploading attachments must be done by the deadlines.
  • A maximum of 12 files can be uploaded.

  • The administrative fee for admission procedure is CZK 750.

  • Proof of payment is not required.

Admission interview

  • Applicants for study are admitted based on an interview.
  • The interview is held with the candidate present in person, in front of a committee appointed by the Dean but can also be conducted by means of a videoconference.
  • The admission interview takes place in the language of the study program for which the applicant is applying. Knowledge of the relevant language at least at B2 level is required.
  • During the interview, the committee will ask the candidate questions regarding the study programme for which the candidate applies. The areas of questions for the interview are contained in Annex 1 to this Decree.
  • Each applicant is asked three questions by the committee. Subsequently, the committee will assess, in particular, the factual correctness of the answers, knowledge of the field of study and the overall readiness of the applicant for study. Each response will be assessed by the Committee using the following grades: "Passed" or "Failed".
  • The candidate will have successfully passed the admission interview if he/she receives a "Passed" grade for minimally two answers.
  • Admission interviews will take place within the period specified in Article 6. The exact date will be communicated to the applicant through the information system.
  • Applicants who fail to attend the admission interview will be assessed as “Failed” and will not be admitted.

Tution fees

The tuition fee for studying in English in the academic year 2025/26 is 4000 EUR per year.

The fee for study in a study program carried out in a foreign language is given by the Rector's Directive and is payable by the date specified in the decision on the assessment of the study-related fee.
The amount of the fee is updated for each academic year.
