Frantisek Krizik Award

The Frantisek Krizik Award of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering is a prestigious and unique award in the field of electrical engineering in the Czech Republic and is awarded for a lifetime contribution in the field. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering by nominating and awarding a prize highlights the importance of science and technology and its impact on society.

The prize is represented by the statue "Electra" in the artwork by Pilsen sculptor František Bálek.

It was first introduced on January 22, 2011 at the ceremonial sitting of the Scientific Board on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Announcement of the prize is annual. Historically, the first award ceremony took place in April 2012.

  • 2013 - prof. Ing. Lumír KULE, CSc.
  • 2012 - prof. Ing. Daniel MAYER, DrSc.

In the years 2019 - 2017, 2015 and 2014, no laureate was selected.

The Research Board approved the Frantisek Krizik Award to be granted to Ing. Dana Drábová at its session on April 13, 2016.
The Award ceremony took place on June 28, 2016 in Měšťanská Beseda (Kopeckého sady 13, Pilsen), participated by representatives of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Pilsen municipality and outstanding guests.

The Award ceremony took place on June 13, 2013 in the ceremonial hall of the Pilsen city hall, participated by representatives of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Pilsen municipality and outstanding guests.
