At the beginning of December 2018, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering obtained a prestigious HR Excellence in Research Award, which it sought within the UWB project HR Award, after a year of hard work. This award is awarded by the European Commission and confirms the right setting in the area of strategy and human resources management. The faculty also undertakes to implement the proposed Action plan for two years to keep this prestigious award. The actions proposed in the Action Plan concern the improvement of working conditions, the recruitment and selection of researchers, and, last but not least, the personal and career development of employees.
At the end of 2017, we commited to the principles of the European Charter for Researchers (hereinafter "the Charter") and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (hereinafter "the Code"). The Charter and the Code have 40 points, divided into 4 parts that address ethical and professional aspects, recruitment and selection, working conditions, training and development of employees. An analysis of the current state (GAP analysis) - a state of fulfillment of the Charter and the Code, based on which an action plan was drawn up, has been prepared. Obtaining the HR Excellence in Research award the implementation of an approved Action plan has been launched.
